So many choices!

We went on a Sunday afternoon and the place was empty. My wife said this is such a busy store during the weekdays and especially during lunch. The place was clean and the waitress was very friendly. I like kung pao chicken so I ordered that because I wasn’t in the mood for noodles as it was a warm May day. My wife had the beef tripe noodles and I was thinking how it reminded me of menudo back home. I sampled it and it was pretty good but it was too oily. I really enjoyed my kung pao chicken and it was very hot. We also ordered a cold dish of beef tripe and onions and that was awesome. The cold spinach dish was ok but I liked the cold fungus dish (doesn’t sound tempting OMG!) with wasabi sauce. The menu wasn’t in English but each dish had a picture and I really enjoyed that. I didn’t like my trip to the restroom because I couldn’t distinguish between the men’s and women’s bathroom but luckily I chose correctly. The food is relatively inexpensive and they have a wide variety of noodles, main dishes, cold dishes and BBQ. I will certainly come back to sample many more dishes on the menu.

Excellent value for money

I have eaten here more than 30 times over the course of a year in Beijing and would rate it highly in terms of quality and value for money.
