Doing panda volunteer program is the most meaningful thing to well protect the lovely Giant Pandas with our own hands. If you want to join, the best and closest base is Dujiangyan Panda Base, about 62 kilometers away from Chengdu downtown. Dujiangyan Panda Base is not only a good place to do volunteering work, but also a well-managed base to see numerous pandas at different ages. What will you do in your full day panda volunteer program? The panda volunteering usually lasts from 08:30 to 16:00. Volunteers can turn out to be “Honorable Keeper”, “Panda Nutritionist” and “Love Feeder” to take care of the cuddly giant pandas. Most importantly, you have got twice chances to feed the pandas in very close distance.It will definitely be rare precious experience in your whole life. This tour includes private car transferring to the base from Chengdu/back to Chengdu, private tour guide, lunch and etc. (Note: Health Examination Certificate is needed before taking this program.)

Visit to Wolong Panda Reserve

While living in Beijing for a few months I was able to travel by train across the country to see the Giant Pandas.
The site for the Wolong Reserve connected me with Catherine Liu who answered ever question that I had, gave me several options, and quoted prices for any and all changes that I made. Being indecisive, I had several changes in the timing and even the train that I took, and Catherine was able to adjust all without issue.
My trip to the city of Chengdu was fabulous. The location of the hotel allowed for exploring with ease. The tours set up with an English speaking guide showed me some of the areas of interest and our guide (Ellen) picked a fantastic restaurant and meal to experience the local flavor.
The drive to Wolong Reserve and back was breath taking, but the highlight of the trip was visiting the Pandas.
Every step of the adventure had been perfectly planned by Catherine and I highly recommend that anyone wishing to explore China with assistance contacts her personally.
