Hot Pot heaven

Amazing customer service, despite the fact few spoke English and a great Shanghai experience for the first time visitor. Made to feel very welcome with lots of help and encouragement with the menu from staff with a smile. We chose to have 4 hot pots and at least a dozen additional meats and veg. The “mild” hot pot was a good going Madras, glad we didn’t try the “hot “ one ! With beer came to approx £12 a head, highly recommended especially the Noodle thrower, definitely worth finding.

Loved it here. Even the duck intestines.

This is quite an experience. From the noodle thrower to the delivery robot. The service is very good and the food is excellent.

Best Sichuan Hot Pot

This is my favorite Hot Pot restaurant. The selection is great, the food is always fresh and the service is fantastic. The only thing is, they can have line ups. Either make a reservation well in advance or be ready for a wait. It’s worth it but you gotta have the time.

Sizzling hotpot experience!

Haidilao scores on delivering a great customer experience. Be prepared to wait because there’s no pre-booking. However, the restaurant provides a host of services to make the waiting a joy -- snacks, drinks, Internet access, board games, and manicure service among others. The sauce making station is incredible -- so many ingredients to put together your own dip plus desserts as well. The service is great and the staff is very attentive, such as offering plastic bags to cover our mobile phones so that we can still use them without oil/food splatter. Go for the experience!

My wife and I had the most pleasant and extraordinary experience with 海底捞 in Shanghai located along 华山路, 汇银广场 level 5. We would like to give our special thanks to 叶婷婷 and all the crew members there. A worthy experience after a 3.5h wait!

We had our first 海底捞 experience in Shanghai on a Sunday. You can get a number for a small, medium or big table depending on the number of people you have. We then incredibly waited for about 3.5 hours (200+ numbers) from 1700 till 2030 before we were given a small table (4 seater). They did provide a waiting area where you would be provided with games, drinks and snacks as you wait patiently for your number. Thankfully, the service and food were excellent! Staff were very polite and always helpful. The soup bases and side dishes were simply delicious. Prices were reasonably too. We enjoyed the experience totally! Perhaps the learning point was not to go for 海底捞 during weekends in Shanghai unless you would be ready for hours of wait.
